Psychotherapy is for people who want to address long-standing issues such as low self-esteem, social isolation, volatile relationships with others, unacknowledged losses, feeling stuck with a sense of getting nowhere, loss of motivation or experiences of trauma. Psychotherapy offers the opportunity to explore the experience of self in relationship with others and the wider world, using the example of the relationship with the therapist. In this way ingrained patterns become conscious, enabling fundamental change and movement towards personal growth and healing.

At the centre of therapeutic process is the relationship between client and therapist which takes time to develop. Consequently, psychotherapy requires a long-term commitment and is usually open-ended.
